The Simple Woman's Daybook - Wood for Mr. Ward. Feb. 16

For Today...

Outside my window...the is a beautiful blanket of snow.
I am thinking about the people coming to look at the house today.
I am thankful for... Josh and Keri's visit from RI this weekend.
From the kitchen... I can see my husband helping our neighbor stack wood.
I am creating a card for my blog.
I am wearing... three layers of clothes because it is cold outside
I am reading... my never ending e-mail because I took a coupon survey!

I am hoping... to have direction for where my husband and I should move.
I am hearing... a song on the radio "life has many choices but eternity only has two".
For the rest of the week I am planning to look for work and a NE home with God's divine direction.

My Husband and Mr. Ward after they stacked wood.

Mr. Ward is 88 years old.

  1. I'm not a sister but a brother in Christ so I thought it might be alright if I share a thought with you about moving. My wife and I have been married 50 years and we have moved only three times. I'm a retired Pastor and was in the L.A. area for years and then moved to Northern CA. and then to Phoenix. We retired from the church in Phoenix and live in the same home in Scottsdale. We love Arizona! I feel confident you will love wherever you move to.

  2. We were in your spot about 6 months ago. We did not find out where we were going until 4 days before we were to close on our house. It was a test of faith trusting in the Father to lead us. . . and I am so glad we passed. :-)

Praying for the Father's divine direction for you!

  4. What a nice post. How sweet your husband helped your neighbor stack his wood. I'm sure God will lead you to wherever it is you should be if you look to him for guidance. I see my husband was the first one to comment on this post. He is so right. God has led us all the way. We have no doubt about it.
    Blessings,
